The longest-running App Store ad in AI voice belongs to Fireflies, the app that runs the fewest creatives of anyone in the set. Its English line "Record and summarize meetings" has stayed live for 251 days across Germany and the Netherlands, last recorded 13 July 2026. Fireflies runs two distinct creatives total. The other one, same headline, is at 240 days. Two ads, and the pair sits above every heavier spender in the category.
We pulled every App Store ad these apps ran across EU storefronts from Apple's public Ad Repository, the transparency dataset the EU Digital Services Act requires. Here is the survivor board, sorted by how long each app's longest creative has stayed live. Data window ends 14 July 2026.
The survivor board
| App | Distinct creatives | Longest creative | Total ad records tracked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fireflies | 2 | 251 days ("Record and summarize meetings", en-GB, Germany + Netherlands, still live) | 60 |
| Speechify | 21 | 160 days ("Read Aloud Books, Docs & PDFs", en-GB, 10 countries, still live) | 1,898 |
| Otter | 3 | 139 days ("AI Note Taking, Memo Recorder", en-GB, Ireland only, still live) | 87 |
| ElevenLabs | 10 | 110 days ("Text to voice for creators", en-GB, 24 countries, last seen 24 June 2026) | 1,511 |
| Fathom | 11 | 102 days ("Record & Dictate Voice Memo", 19 countries, still live) | 58 |
A few readings of this table.
The leanest advertiser owns the longest runner. Fireflies tracks 60 records and two creatives, and it holds the top of the board at 251 days. The two heaviest spenders sit below it. Speechify sampled 1,898 records across 21 creatives and its longest is 160 days. ElevenLabs sampled 1,511 records across 10 creatives and its longest is 110 days. More volume did not buy a longer survivor. Fireflies found a line that pays and left it running.
Every long survivor is a plain English utility line. Read the top of each app's board: "Record and summarize meetings", "Read Aloud Books, Docs & PDFs", "AI Note Taking, Memo Recorder", "Record & Dictate Voice Memo". No mood copy, no brand poetry. Each names the job the app does, and four of the five longest are English.
Fathom sells a different product than it is. Fathom is an AI meeting notetaker. Not one of its App Store ads says so. Every creative sells a plain voice recorder or dictaphone: "Record & Dictate Voice Memo", "Registratore Vocale per iPhone", "Diktiergerät & Sprachnotizen". The company ships an AI notetaker and buys installs on the utility the notetaker is built on, catching people who search for a recorder. It also runs the most fragmented set relative to its size, 11 creatives on 58 records, the fastest churn on the board.
Where these apps buy
Every ad on this board ran in App Store search results, the slot you see after typing a query. That holds across all five advertisers. Otter is the only one that also placed a single ad on a product page. None of them bought browse or Today-tab placement.
That fits the demand. Someone typing "voice recorder" or "text to speech" has the intent already formed. These apps meet it at the results screen and skip the discovery surfaces.
How to read this for your own category
Longevity is the cheapest performance signal you can get for free. Nobody keeps funding an ad that loses money, so a creative still live after months is one that converts. Pull your own category the same way: list your three closest rivals, sort their ads by how long each has run, and write your first creatives against the survivors. Watch how lean the leader can be too. Fireflies holds the top with two ads while apps running twenty-plus sit below it. Then check monthly, because a new long-runner appearing is a rival finding a new winner.

Method note: figures are computed from Apple's public Ad Repository (DSA Article 39), across 25 EU storefronts, data window ending 14 July 2026. "Days running" is the span from a creative's first to last recorded impression across those markets, and "Over 1 year" would be Apple's own 365+ marker. Longevity is a proxy for performance, not a measured conversion rate. We invented no numbers beyond what the repository reports. Refreshed monthly.
